Coaching
Son Ridge Stable is a multi-discipline boarding facility that welcomes riders of all competitive levels and styles of riding. At Son Ridge Stable boarders are encouraged to bring in their own coach. If you don't have a coach you might be interested in one of the coaches that come in to the barn on a regular basis. All coaches must have proof of insurance to teach on the property.
Shelley McArthur
Shelley started seriously working in the horse industry when she went to be a working student for Gina Smith at Franklands Farm in 2002. Over the next 5 years Shelley gained experience working in a top dressage facility with talented horses under Gina’s watchful eye and gained an appreciation for the importance of position for the rider and basic training for the horse. Shelley came to Kingston in 2007 to pursue a degree at Queen's and started to offer some basic dressage lessons in the area. Today Shelley splits her time between Franklands and Kingston, offering dressage instruction for both competitive and recreational riders with a focus on the fundamentals for both horse and rider.
Please contact Son Ridge Stable for more information on Shelley's lessons.
